STED: Starfield of Memorable Relics is a sci-fi rpg that originally came out on the famicom in Japan. While taking heavy cues from the Phantasy Star series, STED adds just enough original ideas to keep it from being a straight up clone.
The leveling system is a departure from most systems at the time and let's the player distribute their points to whichever attributes they like. This is commonplace now but at the time was nearly unheard of in console games. The battle system features locational damage on your characters which means that melee attacks will have less of an effect if your character's arms are damaged for example.
An interesting game to say the least, we're happy to add another English translated sci fi rpg to the NES collection.
